What does Mega Music provide?

Mega Music provides quality mobile entertainment for private & corporate customers throughout the Sydney metropolitan area.

Our service includes:  A professional, experienced and reliable Disc Jockey, 400 watt sound system that has the ability to cater for up to 400 guests, disco/party lights that flash on and off, similar to traffic lights, your choice of music prior to event, personal phone call from your Disc Jockey on the Wednesday night before the event and friendly/helpful service.

How much experience do your Disc Jockeys have?

All Disc Jockeys are fully trained before meeting the general public. The experience may vary from DJ to DJ depending on the age of the Disc Jockey and the knowledge of music that the DJ has developed. 

We place the most appropriate DJ into your function that best suits the age group expected and the music choice that has been requested. 

All Disc Jockeys are dedicated to make sure that everyone enjoys your function to the fullest. 

They are more than happy to receive requests from your guests ensuring everyone’s music choice is catered for. 

Make announcements during the event and generally keep the entertainment flowing and the dance floor full.

What equipment do you provide and how reliable is it?

Mega Music provides a 400 watt disco sound system that can cater for up to 400 guests. This equipment includes 2 x 200 watt full range speakers, cd players, amplifier, microphone and 2 x light boxes with 4 coloured flashing lights in each box. 

More powerful sound systems can be provided for larger groups (please call our office for details and price)   

Mega Music employs Sound & Lighting technicians that service the equipment on a regular basis to ensure the equipment is maintained and working to its full capacity. 

We also have a 24 hour back up service team available,  if needed,  to assist with any problems that may occur.

Can you provide extra lights?

The Disco/Party lights are provided free of charge.

In addition to the standard lighting, we can provide extra lighting effects at a minimum fee that include the following:

Strobe Lights, Mirror Balls (Disco Balls), Scanners, U.V.Tubes, Par 56 Cans, Beacons, Smoke Machines and Special Effect Lighting. (Please call our office for details and prices)

What type of music can you play and can we select it before the function?

Mega Music currently stocks 7 decades of music (the largest selection of music available in Sydney) from the 1930’s right through to the latest hits. 

The music categories include: Dinner/Background, Current Hits, Past Hits, Dance, High Energy, House, Techno, Pop, R&B, Rock, Alternative, Rap/Funk, Motown, Jazz, Rock & Roll etc  all from the 1930’s to the latest hits.

We post out our unique music selection form to you prior to the event, you fill this form out at your leisure and post it back. We pass all this information onto your D.J. and you will receive a personal phone call from this D.J. on the Wednesday evening prior to your function. You may use this opportunity to discuss your music choice in more detail directly with the D.J. Keep in mind the D.J. will take requests at the function ensuring everyone is catered for.

Can we speak to the Disc Jockey before the event?

We believe Mega Music is the only company that has stuck with the old tradition of personal service. 

All our Disc Jockeys phone their clients on the Wednesday evening between 6.00pm - 9.00pm to discuss the music choice and to learn of any requirements that may need to be confirmed before the event. 

You may utilize this opportunity to discuss the format of the event from start to finish, confirm the dress requirements and generally have a chat with the Disc Jockey.

What time does the Disc Jockey arrive?

When you confirm your booking with our office staff, you will be asked as to what time you have put on the invitations or the time that you expect the guests to arrive. 

Your Disc Jockeys will organize to arrive between half an hour to hour before that time. This ensures that the equipment is inside, set up and background music playing for the arrival of your guests. 

The setting up time and packing up time is free of charge.

How many years has Mega Music been operating?

Mega Music started in the mobile entertainment industry in 1983 and during the past 19 years has made a huge impact to the type of service that the general public expect from this industry. 

We are constantly finding better ways to improve and provide a superior service in all counts. 

During the late 80's and early 90's the industry experienced a shake up, loosing some well known companies being bought out or even going bust. 

Mega Music is stronger than ever and is confident that we will be around for another 19 years helping people celebrate that special occasion.

Are you fully licensed?

Mega Music currently holds a license with P.P.C.A. (Phonographic Performance Company Of Australia Ltd).

This license is required by all Disco operators to allow them permission to play pre-recorded music at public events.

Without this license, the company is breaking the law and steep penalties are payable.

How do we go about booking?

To book, you have several options.

1. PHONE:

Phone our office on free call 1800 356 358 (within NSW) or 02 9608-0000 and our friendly staff will take all necessary details and confirm your booking with a letter of confirmation.

2. FAX:

Complete the booking form and send via Fax on 02 9608-9999

3. POST:

Post to Mega Music P.O. Box 5252, Prestons Delivery Centre, Prestons NSW 2170. Australia

You can also send via Email, just attach the completed booking form to an email and send to megamusic@bigpond.com

Do you send out a confirmation letter?

Regardless of what method you decide to use to confirm your booking.

A letter of confirmation will be forwarded via Post within 48 hours of you placing your booking.

How is payment made?

Payment can be made via Personal Cheque, Bank Cheque, Money Order from any Australian Post Office or Direct deposit (Electronic Transfer). Amount payable in Australian Currency ONLY

Mega Music requires a deposit to be paid within 7 days of you confirming your booking

This amount is deducted from the quoted price leaving the balance either payable in cash directly to the Disc Jockey at the commencement of the function or you may decide to send the closing balance via cheque in the post -- if you decide to send the balance via post, we need to receive this payment at least 14 days prior to the function date.
